In this paper, a strategy for the enrichment of experimental data is examined in the context of parameter identification problems. The strategy is based on the exploitation of multiple boundary condition configurations. After the main theoretical aspects are summarized, some numerical examples illustrating some of its key points are presented Through these examples, in which the problem of FE error localization and correction is considered, it is demonstrated that the strategy studied enables an effective enlargement of the knowledge space of the structure, and may lead to improved results.
