摘要

Mercury is one of the metals that have received a lot of attention because of its high toxicity and mobility.The evolution of Hg(0)from its environmental compounds has already been supposed to be an important process within the global mercury cycle.The reduction of Hg(II)ions in humic-rich environments can be considered as an important process in terrestrial mercury cycle.The Hg(II)reduction by humic substances(HS)is controlled both by thermodynamics and kinetic factors(Rocha et al.2000).
