Acoustic phonon propagation in nanowire superlattices

Vibrational states in a nanowire superlattice consisting of an alternate stacking of two cylindrical layers are theoretically studied. For azimuthally symmetric torsional modes, the expressions for phonon dispersion relations and transmittance are derived analytically.
