One-Pot Double Mizoroki-Heck Reaction of Vinyl Sulfides Leading to a Diversity-Oriented Synthesis of Multisubstituted Olefins

The first one-pot double Mizoroki-Heck arylation of vinyl sulfides and its application to a general and diversity-oriented synthesis of triarylethenes are described.Noteworthy features of this procedure are that(i)all aryl groups stem from readily available aryl halides,(ii)all arylations proceed in regio-and stereoselective manner,and(iii)any regio-and stereoisomers can be prepared by simply changing the applying order of aryl groups into the reaction sequence.
