The objective of this work was the comparison of the mechanical properties of the impregnated and non impregnated fibres by tensile tests and pull out tests from a concrete matrix. The result of the experiments for the determination of the mechanical properties of impregnated fibres depends on the kind of the adhesives. With the comparison of the maximum tensions fibres showed the best results with ep-oxy resin basis as penetration material for the fibres. The low strength of non penetrated fibres is to be explained by the fact that on the one hand fibres are more strongly nondirectional and on the other hand the internal compound is not very high. By the Pull Out test it was pointed out a shear stress slip relationship. For the determination of the shear stresses the yarn cross sections and yarn extent values must be determined, but they can be determined with the help of the light microscopy and the pertinent image analysis. It was determined by Pull Out tests that the shear stresses and/or compound properties abilities (flexible compound and friction compound) are independently of the value of the shear strength of the examined fibres and dependent on surface finish of the fibres. All impregnated fibres are better in their tensile strength and compound properties than non impregnated fibres. The development and improvement of the surface finish of the impregnated fibre in the concrete matrix for form closure c arc necessary.
