Tirthy one genotypes of synthetic hexaploid wheat as well as 9 local varieties were grown in two conditions (Drought stress and non-stress) to study drought resistance characters and tolerance indexes. Significant differences were exhibited by the genotypes for all characters in both conditions.The genotypes 2,4,7 and 38 (local variety) were high yielding genotypes by tolerance indexes. Resultes showed that there were good genetic diversity among synthetic genotypes to use them for other drought studies and breeding programe.
