We analysed the solar radiation on the city of San Luis during the months December, January and February of each year from 1970 and 1998, searching a relation of coincidence between increase of cloudiness and the presence of the climatic phenomenon known as the "El Nino current". For this pupose we used data of the number of sunshine hours of two decennia, and the solar radiation records of our laboratory. We found that the location shows that solar radiation diminshed in coincidence with the most intense El Nino event, recorded during the annual periods 1982/1983 and 1997/1998, while it did not result affected during the other periods, of lower intensity.
