In summary, I believe that titanium minerals and zircon producers can be optimistic about the future, but we can't take it for granted. Our markets will continue to grow at a healthy rate in the long term - but so will production and competition. More significantly, perhaps - the business of producing mineral sand swill become more difficult. And the risks will be higher. Fortunately, most producers are well placed to meet these challenges. We have an excellent record of responsible production - and a culture of good communication and consultation. We also have a well developed capacity for adaptability and technical innovation. These credentials will be critical to our chances of continued success. Ultimately, the answers to our industry's challenges will lie with the individual producers. Improving efficiency, building expertise and meeting market requirements are all business and operational responsibilities. The way we continue to improve our own businesses in a highly competitive industry will decide our futures. However, this conference is an opportunity to examine some of the common issues which could be addressed by all the participants in our industry. Working together on the response to changing political and social expectations will help to maintain a sustainable operating environment. At the same time, we can help to streamline our businesses by taking a cooperative approach to the development of infrastructure and - possibly - project risk. It's al pat of the innovative thinking we will need to meet the challenges of a demanding, but potentially rewarding industry.
