Ordered mesoporous silica molecular sieves were obtained using a series of non-ionic C_m(EO)_n surfactants. The control of the hexagonal structure was achieved by adding transition metallic cations to the micellar solutions. It has been shown that highly organised CMI-2 and 4 materials could be obtained with C_(16)(EO)_(10) and C_(18)(EO)_(10) whereas disordered wormhole-like mesostructures were reached with C_(13)(EO)_6 and C_(13)(EO)_(12).
