Using ecological Engineering to fight bank erosion can be an interesting alternative regarding cost effectiveness and environmental issues. CNR made R&D (Research Development) for years for choosing the best techniques, selecting available plants, producing large quantities of seeds. CNR has developed its own a nursery for aquatic plants. Advantages of ecological engineering are: 1. participation of local manpower for works 2. appropriation of the project by riparian people 3. protection of Nature increasing bio-diversity 3.1.
