Ampullosporin A (AmpA) is a peptaibol type antibiotic produced by the fungus Sepedonium ampullosporum HKI-0053 [1].Besides displaying moderate narrow-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal activity,ampallosporin A was found to enhance pigmentation of Phoma destructiva and to induce hypothermia in mice.
