POTENTIAL EFFICACY OF FEED RELATED MEASURES IN PREVENTING POST WEANING DIARRHOEA

Post weaning diarrhoea (PWD) is strongly associated with an overgrowth of pathogenic strains of E. coli. However, the aetiology is multifactorial and includes several non-infectious components. Therefore, a wide spectrum of prophylactic measures to prevent PWD has been developed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the significance of different feeding regimes to prevent PWD.
