摘要

A mathematical model of a three-phase radial power system with a single-circuit medium-length transmission line has been developed. It is composed of a system of differential equations for current, sending- and receiving-end voltage calculations and algebraic equations for load-bus and fault-location voltage calculations. These equations have been presented in Cartesian coordinate system the use of which decreased their total number by one third. A hypothetical stub, moving along the medium-length transmission line, has been introduced to simulate three-phase faults at different locations. This model has been developed for both transient and steady-state condition analyses. A numerical example with graphical results has been illustrated, and the percentage error caused by the traditional method has been evaluated.
