A 2-inch active-matrix display is demonstrated, containing 4096 solution-processed polymer-based transistors. The combination with the polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal (PDLC) display effect, results in a reflective, low-power display with paper-like contrast. The display can handle 256 gray levels while refreshed at video speed. Compared with the requirements the transistors in the display have a very low leakage current and sufficient on-current. Measurements of the switching characteristics of a large number of pixels shows that transistor parameter uniformity is sufficient.
