Numerical computations have been performed to investigate the pressure loss in the absorber-evaporator in an absorption chiller, quantatively. Based on the study on the effect of pitch-to-diamter ratio for cases having 80 cylinders in the evaporator and 96 cylinders in the absorber, the effect of cylinder number by using 747 cylinders case was studied. From the results, pressure drop is found to become 40Pa against evaporator pressure of 918Pa for the case of the actual chiller and averaged absorpted mass flux becomes 10% lower than one for the 176 cylinders case.
