In this paper some of results obtained from a mathematical simulation of the working process of the Combustion Chamber (CC) or burner are described. The CC has been designed as a component of the micro co-generation unit based on the Stirling Engine (SE) and is fuelled by natural gas. CFD modeling has been used to describe the combustion of methane in the axi-symmetric CC. Furthermore, the tubes of the engine's heater, which are in the CC, have been assumed to be at a constant temperature. The numerical investigation enables the distribution of the temperature in the internal space of the burner to be obtained. These results can be used at the design stage for choosing the rational configurations of both the CC and the heater in order to provide the maximum heat input into the internal circuit of the SE.
