Clinical Results from Treatment of Equine Sarcoid by Acupuncture

This article describes an effective treatment of horses suffering from Equine Sarcoid, used by the author since 1995 on 18 cases. The results in 12 of these cases were a marked shrinking of the tumor, and the Sarcoid disappeared within 7-9 weeks. In two cases the sarcoid started to grow after 2 years, but then new treatment made it shrink again. In two cases the Sarcoid continued to grow, and other treatment had to be used. The treatment consists of stimulation of one single individual acupuncture point, repeated 3 times.
