ACUPUNCTURE EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE (EBM): AN IMPOSSIBLE LOVE?

First thoughts concerning the use of evidences in the medicine came from Archie Cochrane (1972) in his book "Effectiveness and Efficiency: Random Reflections on Health Services". In 1993, the concept of EBM was created by Gordon Guyatt, who defined itas a systematic procedure used to find the best diagnostic or therapeutic opportunity for every clinical case. As such, EBM is an optimal tool for continuing education (CE). First because it is case/patient related, secondly, because it is bound to actual clinical questions that arise during the daily practice.
