摘要

Operation of acetylene converters can provide particular challengest to ethylene producers. Reactor optimization efforts may be maximized through understanding the chemicals influencing the performance of the catalyst specific to their plant and reactor configuration. In this session, chemicals that influence the short-term and long-term activity of palladium-based acetylene reactor catalysts will be discussed. The fundamental chemistry involved in the selective hydrogenation of acetylene in the presence of ethylene will also be addressed.
