We have proposed the application of a countercurrent electromigration technique to cleaning cleaning process for the melt bath containing high level radioactive fission products. According to the preliminary experiments, strontium and barium can be much easier enriched than caesium. We designed an electromigration cell to remove the salt enriched from a column whenever each migration finished. It as found that by using the cell proposed, we could successfully remove the enriched part from the repeatedly. The electro migration technique can contribute to not only volume reduction of melt wastes from the column reprocessing but also extension of the melt bath use for fuel recovery process.
