摘要

This paper describes their advantages as sustainable technology particularly on thermal environment. We measured air temperature and humidity, also temperature distribution such as spatial and on the wall surface. In 2000 winter, we measured temperature inside the wall and also solar radiation. The testing result is as follows; 1. It is shown that cool in summer and warm in winter inside the Yao-Dong, this indicated thermal environment around the wall is stable. 2. Temperature close to the window is higher in summer, and lower in winter than the inner part which makes it understood that the caves are affected by the site condition and also that the thermal insulation efficiency around the opening is not enough. 3. In winter, temperature inside the wall is generally higher than that of outside, even though summer is generally low. So, we can expect the effective heat gain from inside the wall.
