Veterinarians often express reluctance to integrate behavioral services into their practices due to appointment length (1(1/2)-3 hours), limited behavioral education while in veterinary school, and limited add-on services/products. While the traditional behavior consultation may be outside the scope of the typical general practice, there are many behavioral services that can be provided, increasing client retention and positively affecting the practice's bottom line.
