Diseases of Domestic Ferrets (Mustela putorius)

In the last few decades, domestic ferrets have become popular in the pet trade and in zoologic exhibits and are commonly presented to veterinarians for health care. A large volume of literature has emerged in recent years regarding their spontaneous diseases. This review will summarize the more commonly encountered diseases and current therapies encountered in veterinary practice.
