摘要

Optical analogues of 2DNMR should have much of the spectroscopic richness and structural competency of multidimensional NMR methods. It has therefore long been thought that it should be possible to solve molecular structures using multidimensional coherent vibrational spectroscopies. This goal so far proven to be elusive using either multidimensional Raman or multidimensional infrared spectroscopy. There is however a hybrid triple resonance multidimensional spectroscopy that measures electronvibration-vibration coupling which is sometimes known as Doubly Vibrationally Enhanced Four Wave Mixing (DOVE-FWM). We have previously used this hybrid Raman-IR method for a range of biological applications including protein identification and tissue imaginglWe show here that DOVE (otherwise known as EVV 2DIR) can indeed be used to directly determine structural parameters for molecular complexes.
