摘要

In the paper characteristics of pulse-modulated radiation emitted from radars have been presented and a brief overview of interaction of such microwave fields with biological body has been revealed Thermal and non-thermal effects of pulsed fields evoked in the organisms were discussed and thresholds for these effects in humans and animals were pointed out. Polish standards and Directive recommendations and guidelines providing protection of people against adverse health effects have also been presented.
