摘要

This paper proposed a new method for solids mass flow measurement in pneumatic conveying systems. The method, though, employed combination of concentration measurement and velocity measurement and the both measurements were all based on capacitive sensing technique, the design of configuration of concentration sensor and the principle of velocity measurement were different from the existing ones: the concentration sensor employed compound electrodes for getting more even distribution of sensing field; the velocity measurement employed so called " passing time difference method " which has wide range, high accuracy and fast response. Both laboratory experiments and field test showed the new method is suitable to be used in practice.
