摘要

An approach to estimation quality and quantity of FP transmutation in Nuclear Energy System based on the new evaluation functions as Transmutation Cost (TrC), Energy Transmutation Index (ETI), Technology Hazard Factor (THF) was introduced. Based on proposed approach, analyses of efficiency of ~(126)Sn transmutation by 14 MeV neutrons were performed by using MCNP code and FSXLIB-J3R2 data library produced from JENDL-3.2. As meaningful example of appropriate device with a strong enough intensity and relatively small target region, the muon-catalyzed fusion (μCF) based transmuter was taken into consideration.
