The way, which can ohtain high―progressivity gun propellant, was analysised theoretically and coated single perforated propellant with high ― progresivity was made. Combustion properties of coated propellant in a constant volume and the influence of coating layer thickness mixed charge, the proportion of uncoated propellant and coated propellant upon the combustion properties were studied by the way of closed bomb experiments. The simulated calculation to single coated propellant and mixed charge construction were done and results showed that both the charge constructs could increase the muzzle velocity of gun shell while without any increase in maximum chamber pressure.
