When China entering into the time as its economical construction as a main focus, its most cities have been changed with each passing day. All these have made an imperative duty that geo-scientists should continue to develop the thematic maps or new methods to satisfy the contradiction between the human requirements and natural conditions. So both central and local government of China have paid higher attention to the construction and planning. For this reason, several comprehensive investigations in Shanghai by aerial remote sensing have been organized by us for city construction, management and planning meanwhile more than millions of data have been obtained and provided for the urban developing. These are Aerial Remote Sensing Information System of Shanghai (Following abbreviation SARSIS) based on, at the same time, by using investigated results, we could have a comprehensive data analysis strategically and to satisfy the requirements to set up the future urban construction information network .
