Thermal shock resistance of ceramicmaterial can be characterized by using resistanceparameters or critical temperature difference.Correlation between fracture resistance parameter, Rand critical temperature difference, #DELTA#Tc waspresented for four products (99% M_2o_3, 86% Al_2o_3mullite and glass). Six equations representingdependence critical temperature difference on Biotnumber were used. Comparison of critical temperaturedifference as a function of Biot number with R parameterwas also discussed. Statistical analysis was used todetermine correlation between R parameter and criticaltemperature difference. This method showed thatlinear dependance was acceptibile to use in comparisonR parameter with critical #DELTA#Te values.
