Design of operation planning and control systems for factories organised as flexible network of processors

摘要

The new manufacturing paradigms, such as agility and mass customizing, are based on adaptability of products and production volumes to the customer needs. This paper presents a modeling approach, based on the concept of flexible networks of flexible processors, to design, plan and control these new manufacturing environments. The general context and the operating conditions of factories organized as flexible networks of processors are presented. Respecting these particular manufacturing conditions, a framework for the design of manufacturing resources planning and control systems is developed.
