The results of a study of anisotropy in the transport critical current under a magnetic field for Ag-sheathed Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O (Tl-2212) tapes produced by the powder-in-tube technique are presented. The critical current anisotropy measured at temperatures 70 K to 90 K in magnetic fields up to 0.5 T as well as in fields up to 5 T at 4.2 K served for the estimation of the degree of grain alignment and its dependence on processing conditions. The lack of significant texturing accompanied by the small I_c anisotropy indicate the three-dimensional charge transfer character in Tl-samples produced by a single stage as well as multiple press arid heat process.
