This paper presents the method of predicting the future extreme low seabed level in a morphologically dynamic tidal inlet, which is required to determine the burial depth of a pipeline through the inlet. This method combines morphology and statistics, giving a fair and realistic indication of the probability of exceedance of the given seabed level and consequently the probability of pipeline exposure.
