摘要

Emissions from 40 recent residential heating installations in Belgium have been measured (20 natural gas and 20 gasoil). Field measurements were performed in normal operation conditions, and compared with measurements in laboratory conditions.Fuel samples have been analyzed simultaneously on composition and heating value. Emissions have been expressed in mass per net MJ for correct comparison. From the study it is found that correct use of modern technology is more important than the choice of the fuel. Global emissions from residential heating can easily he limited to low values for both fuels with current technology. It is found that reduction from 300°C to 200°C as stack temperature limit in Belgium is feasible and preferable since there isa clear tendency to overload oil-fired boilers. Sharper excess air adjustments combined with lower stack temperatures would further improve the efficiency of oil-fired boilers.
