The combination of information technology and traditional medical care is a new development trend in China. In recent years, major hospitals in China have used information technology to establish a registration system for online appointments. Artificial Intelligence(AI) Guidance System is one of the advanced information technologies with good effect. Patients can make appointments in advance through such a information platform before seeing a doctor, which provides obvious convenience for patients, greatly promotes orderly triage, and realizes high-quality services, such as seeking medical treatment in time and reducing time length of waiting in line.Hospital S is a third-level Stomatological hospital in Guangzhou, China. Due to the large number of outpatients and long dental consultations, patients face difficulties in registration and long-time length for waiting. This article uses Hospital S as a case, combined with its outpatient appointment registration situation from November 2018 to November 2019, analyzes its existing problems, and introduces its active use of Al Guidance System to optimize the appointment registration process and other corresponding measures. The implementation results are expected to provide reference for the appointment registration model of Chinese medical institutions.
