Deviation of electric power quality indicators from the rated values degrades the conditions of operation of electric equipment of power supply organizations and electric power consumers and can lead to significant losses in both the production and domestic sectors. In order to maintain the quality of electric power at a given level, power active filter compensating devices have been created. They are state-of-the-art filtration technologies and provide an effective solution to most power quality problems associated with harmonious current distortion and reactive power. In case of voltage shape distortion, successive switching of the device through the voltage transformer is used and allows voltage control in a narrow range, as well as damping of quality violations. The effectiveness of such a technical solution depends on several factors, in particular, maintaining the voltage and current of the filter at a given level. Thus, there is a need to develop an automatic voltage and current control system for the active filter. The vector automatic control system has a number of advantages over scalar. It was therefore decided to use it for further research. In a virtual environment, a model of a vector control system was created as part of a three-phase series active filter-compensating device. As a result of the studies, it has been found that the use of the proposed technical solution leads to a reduction of the distortion factor by 10%.
