When a fire starts in the subway platform, different smoke exhaust volume will have a significant effect on the smoke flowing. Taking a typical subway station in Nanjing as an example, using fire simulation software(FDS) to study the different platform smoke exhaust volume under different fire source positions, and find out the critical platform smoke exhaust volume which can make the stairs have 1.5m / s downward wind speed. Finally, find the relationship between the horizontal distance from the location of the fire source to the middle stair and the critical platform smoke exhaust volume. Comparing and analyzing the height of personnel safety altitude of the platform and the airflow velocity of the stair. The results show that the closer the fire source is to the stair, the greater the critical platform smoke exhaust volume.
