摘要

A polarization insensitive compact microwave absorber with wide absorption bandwidth at low frequency and a transmission window at the higher frequency is presented. The unit cell of the proposed microwave absorber comprises of dual layer frequency selective surface (FSS) with an air-gap of G(mm) in-between. The absorption band covers mostly UWB frequency from 3.61 GHz to 10.67 GHz with relative absorption bandwidth (RAB) is 98.87%. The pass band peak is observed at 12.70 GHz. The performances of the proposed absorber are evaluated for different incident and polarization angle to validate for radome application.
