In this paper, a Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting (PEH) system was implemented with Parallel Synchronized Switch Harvesting on Inductor (P-SSHI) interface with an industrial machine, the Combi-Cleaner from Bühler AG©used in flour production. The implemented system used the PEH system to recharge a drained Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery to assess the technology’s potential of becoming a large-scale clean power supplement. The device was implemented in three different positions on the machine and generated a total of 0.24V in 30 minutes of operation. This is a promising output since these machines work endlessly and highlights future areas of research specific to the application of PEH in the industrial field.
