A lathe is a machine tool that mainly turns a rotating workpiece with a turning tool. Random and deterministic disturbance will occur during the work of the lathe. In this paper, a H controller with augmented Youla (Q) parameterized regulation procedure is projected to reject both random and deterministic disturbances of the lathe. The parameter Q is converged to the desired value by the online tune of a recursive least squares (RLS) arithmetic. The simulation results illustrate that the projected adaptive control procedure can availably reject the deterministic and random vibration disturbances.
