Using Experimental Data for Indoor Wireless System Planning

Currently there are many different indoor wireless systems Areas of their service are determined by the technical characteristics of antennas and transmitters and the wave propagation energy losses. Prediction of losses of indoor propagation losses of electromagnetic waves is extremely difficult due to numerous reflections from the walls and diffraction at the interior environment. To calculate these losses and determine the service areas, proposed several mathematical models. However, in practice, they all have a sufficiently large error because of the complexity of accurate descriptions of the indoor internal situation, which also periodically varies because the movement of people and furniture, as well as failing to take into account all the factors affecting propagation characteristics. Therefore, an important role in the such calculations is played by the experiment. This paper discusses the appropriate use of experimental data and their post-processing to reduce the error of the calculations.
