Applicability of MIMO and OFDM technology to SATCOM

摘要

This paper provides a comprehensive survey focused on applicability of MIMO and Multicarrier systems to satellite communication. The significant research achievements in the area of Multiple antenna and multicarrier technology can be successfully used in satellite communication similar to terrestrial communication. A detailed review of MIMO and OFDM based techniques for satellite communication is provided, in order to get a brief idea about the previous works carried out by various researchers, which paves the way for upcoming research works. Lastly, some future research directions are also identified.
