In orde to meet the needs of low-cost, short-range and real-time wireless voice communications, this paper proposes a central base station wireless voice communication system. In accordance with the needs of the system, The Central base station and the end nodes which adopted embedded processor ATMega128L as MCU, RF chip CC2500, codec CMX649 and LCD, power circuit as peripheral equipments was introduced. The design of system structure,hardware,software and communication protocols was discussed in detail, and the system adopts voice data double buffering mechanism. When RF chip is setted 250kbps and codec is setted 16 kbps,the test results show that the double buffer size is setted to more than 40B the wireless voice quality can be greatly improved.
