Mercury volatilisation during setting of FGD-gypsum plaster

摘要

A small percentage of the mercury in the FGD plaster is released during the setting process. At laboratory scale this mercury release could be reduced by the addition of certain additives. Additional investigations are needed to determine the effect of these additives on the properties of the gypsum end products like the gypsum wallboard.
