How to Assess ESL Performance by Young Learners

As more and more ESL learners enter schools in U.K., teachers face the daunting challenge of instructing them who have limited skills in the English language. In this respect, when making judgments about students' learning in the key learning areas other than English, teachers need to take into account the student's stage of the English acquisition, and their language learning background.
