Information Technology (IT) is an unavoidable input in today's banking sector. It does not only affect the way the financial services are marketed, but also transforms the whole industry into more competitive, efficient and effective. As the world enter the information age and integrated world economy, financial services are increasingly marketed worldwide with IT as a pillar of the sector's worldwide operations. The banks can now reach even those niches that were traditionally unreachable. This do not only benefit the bankers in terms of more sales, low operating costs and more profits, but also the customers in terms of more convenience, speed, reliability, security and flexibility.
