Surface waves excitation by internal wave

摘要

Internal waves (IW) represent one of the most interesting and not so well-studied phenomena in the ocean dynamics. Though these waves exist virtually everywhere, an experimental databank on their measurement is rather limited. Currently, along with contact measurements, another line of inquiry is actively developed, that is the remote study of IWs by their exhibition at the sea surface.
