The article aims to simulate a multipowered onboard drive train system. The proposed system is capable of managing and constantly adapting several power sources of different characteristic to a varying current load. All the power sources integrated in the onboard drive train are renewable energy. They include a battery bank, supercapacitors and a fuel cell. The onboard drive train rests mainly on power electronics devices. They generally need two energy profiles: high power density for a long journey in a steady response; high instant power for transient responses like acceleration and deceleration. The paper presents a high efficiency hybrid configuration for an electrical drive train. The proposed configuration diminishes the undulation stress on the battery and prolongs the system life span. It also optimizes the different power sources and the dynamic responses of the system.
