The two areas seeing the most growth in telecommunications today are surely mobile systems and itnelligent network services. It is not surprising then that we are beginning to see convergence beteen the two areas. This paper assesses the drivers for fixed mobile convergence from the In point ofview, including customer demands and operator needs and the technical challeges that face vendors in meeting these requirements.
