Internet of Things (IoT) as the name implies, is an array of devices that communicate via internet. IoT system integrates four specific segments i.e. sensors/devices, connectivity, data processing and a user interface. Modern IoT devices need various options in terms of connectivity. As IoT applications need low data rates Long Range (LoRa) , a advanced wireless standards for Low Power Wide-AreaNetwork (LPWAN) very well caters this need. This paper proposes a microstrip patch antenna operating at 433 MHz for Low Power Wide-Area-Network with FR4(lossy) as substrate and dimensions of the patch are 82.295mm*105.41 mm. The paper aims for improvement in efficiency and gain with two Tshaped slot cut on the ground. The Simulation has been performed using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) studio suite.
